What is "My Aid Data" file

Your “My Aid Data” file, sometimes referred to as "My Student Data (MSD)", is a downloadable summary of your federal student loan and grant history, including loan balances, disbursements, servicers, repayment plans, and more.

It’s an essential tool that helps your SavvyFi Student Loan Coach get a full picture of your loans so they can give you accurate advice — especially if you're pursuing Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

How do I download it?

Follow these steps to get your "My Student Aid" file:

1.    Go to studentaid.gov and log in using your FSA ID and password.

2.    Click on your name/profile icon in the top right corner.

3.    Select “My Aid” from the dropdown menu.

4.    On the “My Aid” page, scroll to the bottom and click “Download My Aid Data”.

5.    A .txt file will download to your computer — this is your “My Student Aid” file.

This data is required before scheduling your session with a SavvyFi Student Loan Coach for Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). It helps your Coach assess your loan eligibility and guide you toward the best repayment and forgiveness options.
