How does SavvyFi access my student loan data?

SavvyFi accesses your student loan information via a soft credit check.

This process:

  • Verifies your identity and loan information by simply providing your phone number, date of birth, and zip code.
  • Prioritizes data security and privacy.
  • Allows you to link all of your student loans at once — no need to log into multiple loan servicers.
  • Enable SavvyFi to send funds from gifts and employer contributions (if applicable) to your student loans.

What’s a Soft Credit Check

A soft inquiry, or soft credit check allows us to securely access the appropriate information without affecting your credit. Soft inquiries are also commonly used for background checks conducted by an employer or landlord. Soft inquiries aren’t tied to a specific application for new credit, so they’re only visible to you when you view your credit reports. We assure you this will not impact your credit score or history.
